How much did you shave off your lap times?

When that first picture was taken I could barely finish a lap so I’d say all of the time.. My quarter mile time is down to 1:15 with a trap speed of about 12. And I can run a full mile now in 6-7 minutes which is infinitely faster than my old time.

Right on man! I’m working on shaving some time myself.

I struck 349 lbs on July 1 and as of Aug 1 I’m down to 319.xxx lbs.

Suddenly my back, knees and feet hurt a lot less! My ultimate goal is 260lbs.

Losing weight is the only thing I’ve done that was harder than quitting smoking.

Your expression in both pictures says, “My friend wanted something more lively so I convinced him to upgrade to the XRS trim Corolla.”

I’m trying to do both at the same time.. One is working out better than the other and I bet you can guess which.

good work. I dropped ~30 a few years ago. I’ve been fighting it from creeping back up, but I’ve also been working out so I’ve added muscle. I’m still the same waist size I got down to back then, just getting a little snug. Time to re-adjust.

We are literally in the same boat.

That’s my next phase.. I started walking 3-5 miles every day to get the weight off and I’m starting to add some body weight exercises to get my muscle definition back. I was in great shape after basic training, but I was dumb and let my body go to hell when I left the military. I’m surprised it only took a year to erase a decade’s worth of laziness and gluttony.

oh yeah, you can lose a lot of weight in a (fairly) short amount of time, but the problem is it takes muscle mass with it. the really hard weight loss programs are the ones where you’re supposed to lose fat only.
